Our story began in August of 1985 when we first opened our doors in Ojai, California. We then expanded to Thousand Oaks in September of 1998 and Channel Island Harbor in July of 2000. However, our passion for seafood started long before that. In 1963, one of our owners, Bill Sutton, went on a fishing trip with his dad when he was only seven years old. From that moment on, he was hooked. Bill would spend all his spare time fishing at the pier, and he would bring his small catch home to market to his neighbors with a red wagon. This was the start of it all. After graduating from high school in 1972, Bill worked on commercial fishing boats that fished up and down the Pacific Coast.
